About this role
Your Role
- Coordinate with Oracle Support for hardware replacements, bug fixes, service requests, and resolution of critical production incidents.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production outages and performance issues, identifying corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
- Support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments, including administration and monitoring of Oracle Data Guard configurations.
- Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools to proactively monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance operational procedures, patching documentation, technical runbooks, and knowledge repositories to support consistent service delivery.
- Ensure optimal system reliability, availability, performance, and business continuity for mission-critical Oracle database environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams to support production systems and drive operational excellence.
- Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve platform stability.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts across database, operating system, hardware, firmware, storage, and networking layers within ODA environments.
- Support compliance, security, and operational best practices by maintaining Oracle-supported software and firmware versions.
Your Profile
- 9 to 12 years of total IT experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) administration and lifecycle management.
- ODA patching and upgrades using ODACLI.
- Hardware, firmware, storage, networking, and Oracle Linux troubleshooting.
- Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Database support.
- High Availability (HA), Data Guard, and Disaster Recovery (DR) administration.
- Production support, incident management, and service reliability improvement.
