Tax Consultant II
Join Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited and help clients improve cross-border trade operations through Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) solutions. This role focuses on translating global trade compliance, logistics, and business requirements into scalable Oracle GTM configurations, workflows, and integrations. You will support compliant and efficient trade processes across areas such as screening, classification, licensing, duty and tax determination, documentation, and reporting. Work you'll do
As a Tax Consultant II on the Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) team, you will be responsible for:
- Lead workshops, document trade processes, define business rules, and create functional specifications, user stories, process maps, test scenarios, and traceability artifacts.
- Configure Oracle GTM objects, business rules, workflows, approvals, notifications, exception handling, role-based access, and audit requirements.
- Design and validate integrations between Oracle GTM and enterprise systems, support data mappings and governance, and assist with data conversion and migration activities.
- Plan and execute system integration testing, user acceptance testing, compliance scenario testing, defect resolution, cutover support, and hypercare activities.
- Develop standard operating procedures, training materials, compliance reporting outputs, and audit support documentation for operational and compliance teams.

Deloitte’s Oracle and trade transformation teams help organizations improve the way they manage global trade compliance, customs readiness, and cross-border operations through technology-enabled solutions. The team works across business, compliance, and technology stakeholders to design and implement scalable processes that support accuracy, control, and operational efficiency. Professionals in this area support complex transformation programs involving enterprise systems, data, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications
Required:
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) in a functional or techno-functional capacity.
- Experience with restricted party screening, sanctions or embargo compliance, import or export compliance, export controls, Harmonized System or Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, country of origin, valuation concepts, licensing controls, or free trade agreement and preference concepts.
- Experience translating compliance policy into system-enforceable rules and workflows.
- Experience documenting business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process diagrams, and test scripts.
- Experience with APIs, flat files, middleware, data mapping, or error handling for system integrations.
- Knowledge of cross-border trade process flows across order, ship, invoice, customs, logistics, and returns.
- Experience with data analysis, reconciliation, and defect triage.
Preferred:
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud or similar middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with Oracle ecosystem integrations, including enterprise resource planning or supply chain systems.
- Experience with multi-country or global trade programs and complex organizational structures.
- Experience with broker or filing provider integrations.
- Experience modernizing trade compliance operating models and master data governance.
- Prior consulting delivery experience, including estimation, RAID logs, status reporting, or client leadership.
