The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Treasury Operations & Integrated Finance Specialist to support global clients in managing and optimizing their treasury and finance operations. This role offers an opportunity to work across end-to-end treasury processes, including cash management, liquidity planning, payments, and financial reporting, while integrating treasury with broader finance functions.
You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, financial control, and process standardization, leveraging treasury technologies and automation solutions. Working closely with treasury, finance, accounting, and IT teams, you will help organizations achieve real-time financial visibility, improved cash flow management, and enhanced compliance with regulatory and internal control frameworks.
This role also provides exposure to treasury transformation initiatives, system integrations, and process automation, enabling you to contribute to strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the finance function.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
- Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY GDS FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations
- Receive direction from the Manager, Senior Managers.
Treasury Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring, bank account management, and transaction processing
- Support intercompany funding, settlements, and liquidity management activities
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of treasury transactions and reporting processes
- Maintain compliance with banking standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Support cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning across global entities
- Monitor and optimize working capital, cash utilization, and funding strategies
- Assist in managing bank account structures and cash pooling arrangements
Systems & Integration
- Support and manage treasury management systems (e.g., Quantum, Kyriba, Trax) and ERP integrations (e.g., SAP)
- Ensure seamless flow of financial data between treasury systems, ERP, and banking platforms
- Leverage tools such as SQL, Power BI, and automation utilities for reporting and analytics
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform reconciliation of bank accounts, subledger, and general ledger balances
- Prepare and analyse treasury reports, dashboards, and financial insights for stakeholders
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
Risk & Compliance
- Identify and monitor financial risks (liquidity, FX, operational risks) and support mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls, regulatory requirements, and internal governance frameworks
- Support audit processes, control testing, and remediation activities
Client Interaction & Project Support
- Act as a point of contact for client queries, reporting requests, and issue resolution
- Participate in treasury transformation projects, including system implementation, enhancements, and onboarding of new entities
- Support UAT, regression testing, and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including banking partners and internal teams
Skills and attributes for success
Ideally, you’ll also:
- Strong experience in treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and payment processing
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or M.com/ MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in treasury operations (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with treasury management systems such as Quantum, Kyriba, Trax or similar platforms
- Good understanding of payment workflows, bank connectivity, and financial messaging standards (ISO20022, SWIFT MT, SEPA, ACH)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and integration with treasury platforms
- Knowledge of cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial analysis
- Familiarity with automation tools and reporting solutions (SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.)
- Understanding of risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks
