About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support & AMS: Own and resolve complex L2/L3 support tickets, adhering closely to SLA (Service Level Agreement) timelines.
- Defect Management: Identify, analyze, track, and resolve system defects during regular operations and project testing phases.
- Technical Development: Design, develop, and modify robust SAP ABAP solutions across various RICEFW objects.
- Artifact Creation: Author and maintain comprehensive Techno-Functional Specifications, root-cause analysis (RCA) reports, and defect logs.
- Integration & Functional Support: Monitor and support cloud/hybrid integration flows in SAP CPI and support functional adjustments within the SAP HR module.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with onshore teams, business users, and fellow developers to ensure seamless system stability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Technical & Functional Experience
- 4–7 years of intensive SAP ABAP experience, with deep expertise in developing and troubleshooting RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
- Good understanding of HR & Finance business processes
- Must have a proven track record of participating in at least 1 Full Lifecycle SAP End-to-End (E2E) Implementation AND at least 1 Post-Production AMS (Support) Project.
- Strong experience in creating and updating detailed Techno-Functional Artifacts (Functional/Technical Specs, Unit testing document).
Preferred Skills (Highly Desirable)
- SAP HR Functional: Functional exposure to SAP HR/HCM modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Benefits, Time Management and Payroll) to effectively handle business-facing support tickets.
- SAP CPI: Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), including monitoring iFlows, handling runtime errors, and message tracking.
Operations & Soft Skills
- Ticket & Defect Mastery: Solid understanding of defect management and standard AMS ticket management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Solution Manager).
- Strong Analytical Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities; a proven track record of performing Root Cause Analysis on critical system failures.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset suited for an onshore-offshore delivery model.
