Oracle Database Administrator Senior Track Lead - Linux

Job Summary

Experienced Oracle Database Administrator responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle databases in standalone and ASM environments. Expertise in Oracle Restart, Active Data Guard, database upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery using RMAN, and disaster recovery planning. Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, database security, and automation skills using Unix shell scripting. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (EC2/VMs), OS performance analysis, and AI-driven operational improvements. Ability to collaborate with clients and teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure DB binaries, and maintain Oracle databases and ASM.
• Knowledge of Oracle restart standalone environment, ASM, and Active Data Guard.
• Good knowledge on dataguard and DR drill is expected.
• Good knowledge on database upgrade and migration activities are expected
• Able to integrate daily activities in to AI and having Good knowledge on AI is expected
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex database issues.
• Good knowledge on datapump export/import actvity
• Good knowledge on RMAN, RMAN duplication DB restore is expected
• Unix shell scripting with automation abilities are required
• Knowledge of cloud EC2 and VM knowledge is expected and Able to troubleshoot OS related performance metrics
• In charge of developing and implementing database backups and disaster recovery strategies.
• Optimize database performance by fine-tuning database settings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvements.
• Develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures to guarantee a seamless and successful flow of activities.
• Work closely with team members to guarantee database operation and integrity.
• Interact with clients to comprehend, design, assess, and analyze customers' wants and requirements and provide technical experience in developing technical, structural, and organizational specifications.
• Defines, documents, and implements standards and complicated models to monitor and improve the database's capacity and performance.
• Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements
