Job Summary
Owns SQL Server vulnerability remediation. Range driven by automation level achievable with existing tooling.
Key Responsibilities
■ Execute SQL Server CU and security update cycles. ■ Manage Always On Availability Group patching and rolling upgrades. ■ Coordinate with application owners on failover windows. ■ Maintain automation via PowerShell and Ansible. ■ Produce evidence; feed automation backlog.
Skill Requirements
■ SQL Server administration (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022). ■ Always On Availability Groups patching. ■ PowerShell automation at scale. ■ Familiarity with SQL Server on Linux
Other Requirements
■ Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300). ■ Exposure to SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL. ■ dbatools / dbachecks proficiency.
