Managed File Transfer Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms and file transfer processes.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SFTP/FTP file transfer jobs and workflows.
• Manage secure file transmission, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Monitor file transfer performance and ensure SLA compliance.
• Investigate and resolve file transfer failures, connectivity, and security issues.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams for onboarding new file transfer requirements.
• Perform Mainframe navigation and support file movement between distributed and Mainframe environments.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Implement automation and process improvements for file transfer operations.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SFTP, FTP/S, SSH protocols, and secure file transfer technologies.
• Working knowledge of Mainframe navigation and file management processes.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring and incident management tools.
• Knowledge of scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and production support environments.
