We are currently seeking a SAP AUTOMATION Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Automation Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support automation solutions across SAP environments. The candidate should have strong SAP technical knowledge combined with automation, scripting, API, and RPA capabilities.

The role will focus on identifying repetitive SAP operational activities and implementing reliable automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and assess SAP processes suitable for automation and process optimization.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support end-to-end SAP automation solutions.

Automate repetitive SAP operational and monitoring activities such as:

System and application monitoring

Background job monitoring

IDoc/interface monitoring

Tablespace monitoring

Email/interface delivery monitoring

SAP user and license-management activities

Report generation and distribution

Data extraction and reconciliation

Develop automation using SAP Build Process Automation / SAP Intelligent RPA, where applicable.

Develop scripts using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or other relevant scripting technologies.

Automate SAP GUI activities using appropriate SAP automation technologies.

Integrate automation solutions with SAP using RFC/BAPI, OData, REST/SOAP APIs, IDocs, and other interfaces.

Develop automated alerts, notifications, exception handling, and escalation mechanisms.

Implement logging, audit trails, error handling, and recovery mechanisms for production automations.

Troubleshoot failed automation jobs and perform root-cause analysis.

Monitor automation performance and identify opportunities for further optimization.

Work closely with SAP Basis, ABAP, functional, security, BTP, and infrastructure teams.

Prepare technical designs, SOPs, runbooks, test cases, and automation documentation.

Support production deployments and post-production stabilization.

Mandatory Skills

Strong understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.

Hands-on experience in SAP process automation.

Experience with SAP Build Process Automation / SAP Intelligent RPA or equivalent enterprise automation tools.

Strong scripting skills in at least one of:

Python

PowerShell

JavaScript

Knowledge of SAP GUI automation/scripting.

Experience with SAP integration technologies such as RFC/BAPI, OData, REST APIs, SOAP, and IDocs.

Good understanding of SAP background jobs, interfaces, monitoring, and operational support processes.

Experience with scheduling, logging, exception handling, alerts, and automated notifications.

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.

Experience working in SAP AMS/support and/or automation projects."
