Senior system engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter and/or LoadRunner.
• Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), Capacity, and Scalability testing.
• Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.
• Monitor system performance using APM tools and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, DBA, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
• Define performance test strategies, scenarios, and workload models.
• Prepare test data and configure test environments.
• Analyze server, application, database, and network performance metrics.
• Generate detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Integrate performance testing processes into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Required Skills
• Strong experience in Performance Testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter and/or Micro Focus LoadRunner.
• Experience in creating and maintaining performance testing scripts.
• Strong understanding of Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Volume Testing.
• Experience analyzing response times, throughput, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and network metrics.
• Knowledge of web technologies including HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, and Web Services.
• Strong SQL skills for database performance validation.
• Experience with Linux/Unix commands and server log analysis.
• Understanding of application architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
